Dr. Parmelee is a Fully Licensed Psychologist in Michigan. He was awarded a Doctorate degree (Ed.D.) in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University in 1986. He has seven years of experience as a school psychologist, worked for six years a senior staff therapist for Steelcase counseling and has been in private practice in Grand Haven since 1989. He provides psychological services to clients of all ages with a variety of presenting issues.
Elizabeth Koscielniak, MA, LPC
Elizabeth Koscielniak is a licensed professional counselor who has received her Master’s Degree
in Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2015.
She has worked in outpatient mental health counseling setting for three years providing
individual services to children, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of specialty include behavior
modification, anxiety, depression, adjustment/life transitions, attachment, trauma, and grief/loss.
Dr. Janice Beuschel
Dr. Beuschel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Michigan. She received her doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from Michigan State University in 1995 and currently practices as a School Counselor with the Fruitport school system in addition to her part time private practice in this office.
Marilyn Sytsma, LMSW, ACSW
Marilyn is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW),Licensed in the State of Michigan. She earned a Masters in Social Work from Western Michigan University in 1994, and a certificate in marriage and Family treatment from Wayne State University. She has worked in a variety of social work positions and has extensive experience working with women, families and military. She is happy to be joining the practice at Parmelee and Associates.
Jennifer Luben, MSW, LMSW
Jennifer Baker Luben was awarded her Master of Social Work degree from Western Michigan University in 1994, is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Michigan and is nationally certified through the Academy of Social Workers. She has significant training and experience working in the area of family therapy and parenting, providing social work services and counseling to children and families for over 20 years. She also has five years experience providing Employee Assistance Counseling. She has been working with children, couples and families for over 25 years. She has experience providing individual, couples and family counseling. Areas she is well versed in include: anxiety, adjustment, grief and loss, divorce, depression, stress and coping and parenting.
Kelly D. Hoekenga, Licensed Professional Counselor
Kelly Damron Hoekenga earned her Master’s degree in Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. Prior to this time, Kelly was awarded her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education from Grand Valley State University, and worked as a general and special education teacher before fulfilling her current position as a school counselor. While Kelly has worked for several years supporting children and adolescents with academic and behavioral concerns, she is also well versed with matters involving parenting, marriage, divorce, family dynamics, grief and anxiety.
Morgan E. Lachney, Ed.D., Psy.D., LLP
Dr. Lachney Holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Psychology, Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology and Post-Doctoral Certification in Neuropsychology. In addition he has a Master of Arts in Marital and Family Counseling, and Master of Education in School Psychology. Dr. Lachney completed post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Clinical Hypnosis and Pain Management, and Military Psychology.
Dr. Lachney has been in private practice since 1980. In addition to his work as a mental health therapist he was a Special Education Teacher, Director of Special Education, School Psychologist, and Military Mental Health Counselor. He has been an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University, Valparaiso University, National Louis University Chicago Campus, and Adler University Chicago Campus.
Dr. Lachney’s volunteer work has included working with military veterans and their families. He is an active counselor with the American Red Cross, Give an Hour and the Wounded Warrior Project, providing mental health counseling for returning veterans and their families, and Military Support Programs and Networks for active military personnel, veterans, and their families.
Hillari Madison, MA, TLLP, LLPC
Hillari Madison is a Master’s level Temporary Limited License Psychologist in Michigan under the supervision of Dr. Walker Parmelee. Ms. Madison is also a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan. She received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2010 and her Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences (Pre-Medicine) from Michigan Technological University in 1996. Prior to obtaining her Master’s degree, Ms. Madison worked in the areas of workplace human relations, adult education, and clinical genetics. Ms. Madison’s areas of specialization include: psychological testing, health psychology, workplace consulting, pre-marital counseling, and spiritual issues. She sees children, adults, couples, families, and is available for business consultation.
